This is a blog about culture -- specifically, what I call the culture of doing.
One of my favorite corporate advertising campaigns is Chevron's "Nation of Doers" series. Home Depot's "More Saving, More Doing" slogan also has special resonance to me. The doer ethos is central to my identity and, as I think Chevron's PR department correctly identifies, to the American ethos.
This blog proudly asserts the can-do attitude that defines American exceptionalism and showcases some of the things that I do around my house and in my garage.
